Eventing Blog #2 – Miracles Do Happen(:
Hey everyone! This should be a quick update… hopefully! I went to the barn today, like I do almost every day of the week, but something that we never thought would happen, happened….
I rode my horse, Savannah, & had a dressage lesson (which happened to be our best dressage lesson). Then I galloped Tainy, the horse that I mentioned in my last blog that I wish was mine. But, the amazing thing that happened today was that Baby Digs (his real name is San Diego) is officially better. He has been sick for the last two months & the vets didn’t think he was going to make it.
He is a 2 year old Oldenburg colt & he was always the best out of all of my trainer’s babies. So of course, I’m beyond happy that he is healthy again. We will start breaking him in the Fall & hopefully he will be my CCI* horse. For him, I could care less about going to Young Riders because he might not be ready to do CCI* by the time I make it there, hopefully in three years. But whatever, I love this little guy to pieces & I’d be willing to drop one of my biggest goals in life just to have him as my next 3 day horse. Please pray for him as he slowly heals & hopefully he will stay happy & healthy. He hasn’t been out of his stall for the past two months because he was thought to be contagious & I took him out for the first time today to hand graze, & of course, he loved it. The vet told us yesterday that he should be fine & to let him graze/turn him out. So, everyone at my barn is beyond happy for that! This little guy is going to be an amazing horse. He is out of EM Aquataine (the horse I galloped today & the one my trainer took to Red Hills) & he is by my trainer’s stallion, San City. He is going to be one amazing horse one day & Katie thinks he could take me to CCI*

About the Author (Author Profile)
Hey, I’m Danielle! I’m 15 years old. I do eventing in Northwest Florida with my amazing horse, “Gotcha Covered” aka Savannah. She is a Hannoverian that is registered with the American Warmblood Registry. I am a part of a Pony Club. I travel a lot because I compete a lot. My biggest goal in my horseback riding career, as a young/junior rider, is to be able to make it on my area’s Young Rider’s team in either eventing or dressage. My lifetime goal in eventing is to make it to Rolex one day. I’m homeschooled and I ride every day of the week but Sundays. If you want to know more, just ask(:
