Im 16 and live in southern pines NC I’ve been riding for ten years and eventing for 7. I am currently competing training with hopes to make the najyrc area two event team. I love the rush eventing gives and it is my promary focus but i tend to dabble in other disciplines as well including straight dressage and jumpers. I was introduced to eventing at a young age and its been history ever since..
Im curently in between horses but still riding as much as I can in order to better my riding. I love the sport and all aspects about it. My fuure goals are to compete at young riders, recieve m bronze medal in dressage and eventually I would love to own and run my own business and ride for a living. for right now I’m just trying to balance being a teenager, being a junior in school, and my equestrian dream but as of right now I feel like I’m living the dream.

Rider of the Week: Daisy Farish

Even though she may be one of the younger children on the “A” and “AA” circuit, you better watch out for 10 year old, Daisy Farish. Daisy is from a family who basically began a legacy. All of the Farish children have ridden or do still ride. Just recently, Daisy has made a big impact on the pony world.

She and her mounts, Ballou and All the best, took the 2011 Pony Finals by storm. Aboard Ballou, she and her pony performed perfectly in all three classes, the hack, the model and the most important, the over fences. She rode Ballou to the award of Champion in the Small Pony Hunter division.

Aboard All the Best, a Katherine Strauss entry, Daisy piloted the seasoned pony to a Reserve Champion award in the Large Pony Hunter division. Upon her own pony, Cleverist, Daisy put in stellar placings on the bay mare. This just goes to show that you do not underestimate a rider because of their age.

Daisy rides with Heritage Farm. We hope to see Daisy winning in the Grand Prix in the near future.

Pony of the Week: Stonewall Nimbus

Named after a cloud of course!

Last year a young girl took a chance on green pony. Initially, Noa Leibson did not want a green pony very much. She tried many Regular mediums and Larges and only a couple greens. One day she came across an advertisement for a green pony. The pony was pony dealer Emily Elek’s, a green prospect that showed promise as a show pony. Ms. Leibson went and tried the pony. Greens were much harder than what she wanted but something about this pony made her fall in love. Even though the green pony was difficult her parents bought him anyway. For the past year this pony has made a stunning impression on the show world. All Noa’s work paid off on the pony. Stonewall Nimbus ended up 39^th in the Nation in the medium green pony hunters out of 136 USEF registered medium green ponies.
